Goodna Street Life Walk-a-thon 2021

One in six Australians is currently experiencing depression or anxiety or both, and taking good care or your body is one of the most important things you can do to improve your mental wellbeing.

Join the Goodna Street Life Walk-a-thon and let's get our community moving, and improving our mental health through meaningful conversations, connections and physical exercise.

Approx. 20,000 people in Queensland are experiencing homelessness1
No one deserves to live like this

Goodna Street Life are raising funds for Helens Haven, our new community centre in Goodna. We help people dealing with crisis, and to get off the streets, and into homes with the support they need to live with dignity and independence, and we need your help.

Why are people homeless?2

Accommodation issues
housing crisis, inadequate or inappropriate dwellings
Financial Difficulties
housing stress, unemployment
Domestic violence and relationship issuestime out from family, family breakdown, violence and assault 24%
Transition/Discrimination transition from care/ custody, lack of support, discrimination 13%
mental health issues, substance abuse issues

What can we do?

Our plan is simple. We put people in homes.

Goodna Street Life are currently constructing Helens Haven, our crisis centre, including accommodation as a first step to access support, and secure long term housing and stability.

All funds raised will help us provide housing and accommodation, and the appropriate support services to help people achieve independence.

Together we can defeat homelessness and ensure everyone has a safe place to call home.
