Be part of something that matters

Volunteers are at the heart of Goodna Street Life. From the Op Shop and Haven Collective to practical aid, community activities and specialist skills, there are many ways to contribute. Talk with us about current roles and capacity.

Op Shop & retail

Help sort donations, prepare stock, create welcoming displays and assist shoppers. Retail income supports GSL's community work.

Haven online shop

Contribute photography, product descriptions, online listings and digital skills through Haven Collective, our Op Shop's online retail brand.

Material aid & practical help

Assist with preparing clothing and essential goods, managing donations and connecting people with the team. Tasks depend on needs, resources and induction.

Community activities

Support events, creative activities, art-session setup and fundraising. Help build connection through practical contributions.

Professional & digital skills

Offer administration, design, technology, property or trade skills. Specialist work needs the relevant qualifications and authorisation.

Students & placements

Explore supervised opportunities in mental health, community services, AOD and support work, agreed with your education provider.

Preloved goods.
Practical impact.

Haven Collective connects our Op Shop with online shoppers and community retail opportunities. Help with sorting, displays, product photography, descriptions or online listings, depending on your interests and the team's current needs.

STUDENT PLACEMENTS & TRAINING

Learn alongside our team

Hands-on experience in a community crisis setting, with opportunities for students and people preparing for mental health, community services, AOD and support work roles.

Contact us to discuss placement suitability, supervision, provider requirements and current capacity. Placement hours and qualification credit must be agreed with your training provider.

Support roles require appropriate induction, supervision and boundaries. Screening, confidentiality requirements and permitted tasks depend on the role. Counselling and specialist interventions are undertaken only by appropriately qualified and authorised people.

Start with a conversation.

Tell us your interests, skills, availability and whether you are enquiring about a placement. We will discuss current opportunities and a suitable next step.
